William Sellers

William (Bill) Sellers joined the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) as Global Head Oncology on November 1, 2005.

Bill has significant experience and an international reputation in both clinical and basic research, with a focus on the basic mechanisms of tumor suppressor genes in prostate cancer. He has made many important contributions to the discovery of molecular pathways of cancer and the understanding of cancer genetics.
 
Bill joined NIBR from Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where he was Associate Professor of Medicine and an associate member of the Broad Institute. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, did his Residency training at the University of California at San Francisco, and clinical oncology training and post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
